  4. The way refugees are pouring in from every port of this country is becoming an outrage. The number of aliens entering the country through the back door is a problem to which the Daily Mail has repeatedly pointed • Refugees swamping our cities • Refugees taking all our jobs • 1938 • I am absolutely outraged at the thousands of immigrants flooding into the country. If the Government don’t stop this, we Britons will become an ‘ethnic minority’ in our own country • Daily Record 2000

Downing Street declared that the controversial campaign telling illegal immigrants to "go home" was working and could be extended nationwide. 11 people left the UK after seeing the advertising vans. Staff spent 18 hours dealing with bogus calls and texts. The Advertising Standards Agency banned the vans last month.
