The Coffs Harbour Education Campus (C.H.E.C.) is a collaborative initiative between Southern Cross University, TAFE NSW, and Coffs Harbour Senior College. It aims to provide a cohesive network that allows users access to individualised Internet and email services while ensuring compliance with the NSW Child Protection Act and Telecommunications Act. Challenges included dual-platform compatibility, Novell issues, and VPN limitations. Ultimately, the project successfully established a local intranet, ensured access to corporate systems for partners, and adhered to necessary legislation.
