GOAL Find the mean, median, mode, andrangeof a data set.
*Terms to know* • Mean-the sum of the data in a data set divided by the number of items
Median-the middle number or the average of the two middle numbers in a data set when the data are arranged in numerical order
Mode • The most frequently occurring item , or items, in a data set (some data sets do not have a mode)
Range-the difference between the greatest and the least values in a data set
