  2. Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo Pratola ligger tæt ved den enorme Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo, der blev åbnet i 1922. Nationalparken har et rigt landskab med høje bjergtoppe, højsletter, floder, søer og skove. Den er et fristed for 70 arter af pattedyr (bl.a. bjørne og ulve), 40 forskellige krybdyr og 300 fuglearter (bl.a. Kongeørn). Parken har et omfattende net af stier, og der er mulighed for at ride, vandre og forsøge sig med bjergbestigning. Der er også gode muligheder for at stå på ski om vinteren.
