Investing Nanotechnology • The Federal funding for nanotechnology has increased from approximately $464 million in 2001 to nearly $1.5 billion for the 2009 fiscal year. • Estimated from 2005: European Union (EU) and Japan invested approximately $1.05 billion and $950 million respectively in nanotechnology.
