Proviral Load Analysis of BLV in Sheep Using GAPDH Probe

This study investigates the proviral load of Bovine Leukemia Virus (BLV) in sheep through quantitative PCR, utilizing a GAPDH probe as a reference. Proviral copies per 1,000 cells were measured presenting values ranging from 0 to 270 arbitrary units. The analysis focused on various proviral targets, including provirus numbers 4533 to 4545. Understanding the proviral load contributes to assessing BLV infection dynamics, which is crucial for sheep health management.
