Teplice boasts a rich cultural history, with its first theatre established in the 18th century. Over the years, it evolved, with a new theatre opening in 1871 and a tragic fire in 1919 leading to its reconstruction in 1924. Today, it’s one of Czechoslovakia's largest theatres and a cultural hub, housing the North Czech Philharmonic Teplice since 1838. The House of Culture, established in the 1980s, features a cinema, concert hall, and show hall, and thrives as a center for artistic courses and performances, like the upcoming Ratatouille.
