  2. Ron Eakes is a successful businessman in Kansas. He is founder of Mid Plains Construction Plains KS, and has a strong presence in the construction business. He was born in western Kansas and spent his childhood at a farm-house along with his ten siblings. He joined South Western Heights School in Kansas and graduated from the school in 1977 with distinctions. Later on, to pursue a degree program, Ron enrolled in Dodge City Community College which was established in 1935 to meet the growing education needs of the area. The college is accredited by the Kansas Department of Education, Higher Learning Commission, and North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The athletics team of the college is popularly called Conqs.

  3. After completing degree from DCCC, Ron Eakesstarted a construction company called Mid Plains Construction Plains KS in 1979. It was his dream project and various products offered by the company include building parking lots, handicap ramps, driveways, Caissons and Pilings. The construction services offered by the company include general construction, concrete forming, concrete construction, curing concrete, concrete install, concrete ready mix sales, and advanced concrete construction.

  4. The Mid Plains Construction Plains KS has catered to the construction needs of various commercial, residential, hog, and dairy clients since its start in 1979. The company tops the list of successful construction companies in Kansas and has more than 70 workers who earn their livelihood by working at the company. Ron Eakes has managed the company in the best possible way and guides the staff to produce the best quality products. He also owns three ready mix plants and has the partnership in two large-scale dairies. He received Certificate of Achievement in Building Construction and features in National Register of Who's Who in executives and professionals.

  5. Along with running his business, he has keen interest in promoting social causes and helping out social organizations. He is a member of Lion's club and local school board and regularly contributes to various non-profit organizations such as Save the Children, Children's Miracle Network, American Cancer Society, Kansas Peace Officers, Knights of Columbus, County Economic Organizations, Special Olympics,etc. He likes to play golf in his free time and traveling is his passion.
