Sahasrara Chakra, The Source of DivineEnergy The Sahasrara Chakra or the thousand petal lotus or the Crown Chakra is the 7th primary chakra in Hindu philosophy which is the basis of yoga philosophy. The seven chakras in the human body that preserve the flow of energy are represented by the petals of a lotus flower. The full opening of an entire petal represents a universal equilibrium of the mind and the body and the spirit. Sahasrara chakra is the seventh chakra releasing the divine energy. The literal meaning of the Sanskrit word Sahasrara is thousand or infinite. The Sahasrara chakra is believed to be located on the upper portion of the head of Lord Siva and therefore it is also called by the name crown chakra. Sahasrara chakra is the last one of the 7 chakras. It creates a perfect connection with the Supreme Being. Awakening of Sahasrara chakra is followed by universal energy flow and spiritual enlightenment. Violet color or pure white light is used to represent spiritual enlightenment. AUM is the seed mantra of Sahasrara chakra.

The self of such a person is no longer controlled by his ego. Emotions like compassion, gratitude and acceptance start becoming our true self. All negative thoughts that bring stress and unhappiness in the life of a person are rejected by the self. A balanced crown chakra is able to bring peace and spiritual understanding and a clear perspective. If the crown chakra remains blocked or unbalanced, it can bring disillusionment, melancholy, restlessness and boredom. Violet color of crown chakra and its spiritual connect The crown chakra is often depicted in white color or in violet color. Violet is considered as the color of spirituality. Violet color unifies all the qualities of the various chakras when activated. It encourages the strong emotion of quitting and the joy of transformation. There is some acceptance of a profound change. The spirit of violet look beyond the physical world. What signs can be seen if the crown chakra is blocked? The biggest challenge related to the Crown Chakra pertains to mental calmness. When the Crown Chakra is blocked, the person becomes completely withdrawn and interested in materialistic goals only. This is like getting stuck in the manner in which they are thinking, when their Sahasrara chakra is blocked. Such a person naturally experiences unwillingness to open to new ideas, knowledge or thought. The unbalanced Crown Chakra can lead to psychosis and a state of being ungrounded. The symptoms produced due to blocked crown chakra can vary depending upon the level of the blockage.
