  11. In a more severe cases of OHSS, it can lead to some very serious complications like blood clots, kidney failures and build up of fluids in the lungs. This condition can be fatal hence; hospitalization is often necessary but it is estimated to happen only to one percent of egg donors.

  16. Another prominent case is that of Calla Papademous who was a Stanford graduate who answered an ad that involves donating eggs for money for a tall and athletic woman with an SAT score of over 1400.

  17. She had a bad reaction to the hormone stimulant, Lupron, that led her to suffer a massive stroke but was only paid $750 because she didn’t produce any viable eggs.

  18. She suffered brain damage however; she was able to miraculously recover. Moreover, she now faces the probability of suffering her own infertility due to the incident.
