  2. **Description** • A decade of crisis and economical problems • Had economical problems.. • It was the time where the stile of hippie's started to develop/disco dancing costumes' with a lot of different colors, specially the color purple

Important events • •The hijacking and destruction of four New York-bound aircraft (Dawson's Field hijackings) in 1970. • •Cyclone Bhola in Bangladesh and the subsequent war with Pakistan in 1970. • •The release of the Intel 4004 in 1971. • •The fatal shooting of four student protestors by National Guard soldiers at Kent State University, Ohio in 1970. • •The rise of funk and disco circa 1974-1975

  5. Influences • David Bowie.. She influence the wrap dress • Halston • The definitive designer of the 1970s, Halston created almost every popular dress seen on the dance floors. His designs were perfect for dancing because of their draped and free moving construction without buttons or zippers. The halter and one shoulder style dress were his most replicated. Halston designed for many celebrities and was one of the first major designers to license his name, making his clothes more accessible to the masses

  8. Trends • 1970s' Fashion Clothing Trends • Well, one thing that has remained a common factor in the fashion world over the years are the ever-popular jeans. No matter what your age is, gender, cultural differences, or choices in clothes, almost everyone on this planet owns a pair of jeans. The popularity of denim jeans is something one is very well aware of. Jeans with frayed edges were pretty much in demand. The legs were generally flared towards the bottom which was known as bell bottoms. That is what the 70s was known for. The hipsters that are a staple diet amongst youngsters today, were a part of the 1970s' fashion trends. Apart from this, embroidered jeans or those with metal embellishments were considered to be really haute. There were many others who opted for high-waisted jeans. • The shoes trends
