READ: DEUTERONOMY 4:26-27 26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you will soon utterly perish from the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess. You will not prolong your days in it, but will be utterly destroyed. 27 And the LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the LORD will drive you. READ: PSALMS 50:4 4 He shall call to the heavens from above, And to the earth, that He may judge His people: NKJV 5 "Gather My saints together to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice." 6 Let the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is Judge. READ: EZEKIEL 6:1-5 1 Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying: 2 "Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them, 3 And say, 'Omountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD! Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains, to the hills, to the ravines, and to the valleys: "IndeedI, even I, will bring a sword against you, and I will destroy your high places. 4 Then your altars shall be desolate, your incense altars shall be broken, and I will cast down your slain men before your idols. 5 And I will lay the corpses of the children of Israel before their idols, and I will scatter your bones all around your altars. WHO IS THE INDIGNATION OF THE LORD AGAINST? HOW DOES THE LORD MANIFEST HIS INDIGNATION? WHY A FLYING SCROLL? READ: ZECHARIAH 5:1-3 1 Then I turned and raised my eyes, and saw there a flying scroll. 2 And he said to me, "What do you see?“ So I answered, "I see a flying scroll. Its length is twenty cubits and its width ten cubits." 3 Then he said to me, "This is the curse that goes out over the face of the whole earth: 'Every thief shall be expelled,' according to this side of the scroll; and, 'Every perjurer shall be expelled,' according to that side of it." 4 "I will send out the curse," says the LORD of hosts; "It shall enter the house of the thief And the house of the one who swears falsely by My name. It shall remain in the midst of his house And consume it, with its timber and stones." NKJV

READ: PSALMS 110:5-6 5 The Lord is at Your right hand: He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath. 6 He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries. NKJV

WHAT WILL BE THE EXTENT OF THIS JUDGMENT? WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO JUDAH & JERUSALM? READ: EZEKIEL 5:15-17 15 ‘So it shall be a reproach, a taunt, a lesson, and an astonishment to the nations that are all around you, when I execute judgments among you in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I, the LORD, have spoken. 16 When I send against them the terrible arrows of famine which shall be for destruction, which I will send to destroy you, I will increase the famine upon you and cut off your supply of bread. 17 So I will send against you famine and wild beasts, and they will bereave you. Pestilence and blood shall pass through you, and I will bring the sword against you. I, the LORD, have spoken.'" NKJV

  15. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 34:3-4 WHAT WILL BE THE EXTENT OF THIS JUDGMENT? WHO ARE THESE THREE MEN? WHY ARE THEY ONLY ABLE TO SAVE THEMSELVES? READ: EZEKIEL 14:15-20 15 "If I cause wild beasts to pass through the land, and they empty it, and make it so desolate that no man may pass through because of the beasts, 16 even though these three men were in it, as I live," says the Lord GOD, "they would deliver neither sons nor daughters; only they would be delivered, and the land would be desolate. 17 "Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say, 'Sword, go through the land,' and I cut off man and beast from it, 18 even though these three men were in it, as I live," says the Lord GOD, "they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but only they themselves would be delivered. 19 “Or if I send a pestilence into that land and pour out My fury on it in blood, and cut off from it man and beast, 20 Even though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live," says the Lord GOD, "they would deliver neither son nor daughter; they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness." NKJV

READ: EZEKIEL 32:3-6 2 "Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to him: 'You are like a young lion among the nations, And you are like a monster in the seas, Bursting forth in your rivers, Troubling the waters with your feet, And fouling their rivers.' 3 "Thus says the Lord GOD: 'I will therefore spread My net over you with a company of many people, And they will draw you up in My net. 4 Then I will leave you on the land; I will cast you out on the open fields, And cause to settle on you all the birds of the heavens, And with you I will fill the beasts of the whole earth. 5 I will lay your flesh on the mountains, And I fill the valleys with your carcass. 6 'I will also water the land with the flow of your blood, Even to the mountains; And the riverbeds will be full of you.’ NKJV

  17. WHAT WILL THE LORD DO TO GOG & MAGOG? WHY? READ: EZEKIEL 38:18-23 18 “And It will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel," says the Lord GOD, "that My fury will show in My face. 19 For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: 'Surely in that daythere shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, 20 So that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.‘ 21 I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains," says the Lord GOD. "Every man's sword will be against his brother. 22 And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23 Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the LORD."' NKJV

  18. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 34:3-4 WHAT WILL BE THE EXTENT OF THIS JUDGMENT? WHY DID IT TAKES SO LONG TO BURY GOG? READ: EZEKIEL 39:11-16 11 "It will come to pass in that day that I will give Gog a burial place there in Israel, the valley of those who pass by east of the sea; and it will obstruct travelers, because there they will bury Gog and all his multitude. Therefore they will call it the Valley of Hamon Gog. 12 For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in order to cleanse the land. 13 Indeed all the people of the land will be burying, and they will gain renown for it on the day that I am glorified," says the Lord GOD. 14 "They will set apart men regularly employed, with the help of a search party, to pass through the land and bury those bodies remaining on the ground, in order to cleanse it. At the end of seven months they will make a search. 15 The search party will pass through the land. And when anyone sees a man's bone, he shall set up a marker by it, till the buriers have buried it in the Valley of Hamon Gog. 16 The name of the city will also be Hamonah. Thus they shall cleanse the land."' NKJV

SENNACHERIB – NEBUCHADNEZZAR READ: JOEL 2:18-20 18 Then the LORD will be zealous for His land, And pity His people. 19 The LORD will answer and say to His people, "Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, And you will be satisfied by them; I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations. 20 “But I will remove far from you the northern army, And will drive him away into a barren and desolate land, With his face toward the eastern sea And his back toward the western sea; His stench will come up, And his foul odor will rise, Because he has done monstrous things." NKJV

READ: AMOS 4:10-12 10 "I sent among you a plague after the manner of Egypt; Your young men I killed with a sword, Along with your captive horses; I made the stench of your camps come up into your nostrils; Yet you have not returned to Me,“ Says the LORD. 11 "I overthrew some of you, As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a firebrand plucked from the burning; Yet you have not returned to Me,“ Says the LORD. 12 "Therefore thus will I do to you, O Israel; Because I will do this to you, Prepare to meet your God, O Israel!" NKJV

  21. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 34:3-4 WHO DID THE LORD SEND AGAINST ISRAEL? BEN-HADAD OF SYRIA? WHAT WILL BE THE EXTENT OF THIS JUDGMENT? READ: 2 KINGS 6:24-29 24 And it happened after this that Ben-Hadad king of Syria gathered all his army, and went up and besieged Samaria. 25 And there was a great famine in Samaria; and indeed they besieged it until a donkey's head was sold for eighty shekels of silver, and one-fourth of a kab of dove droppings for five shekels of silver. 26 Then, As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried out to him, saying, "Help, my lord, O king!" 27 And he said, "If the LORD does not help you, where can I find help for you? From the threshing floor or from the winepress?“ 28 Then the king said to her, "What is troubling you?“ She answered, "This woman said to me, 'Give your son, that we may eat him today and we will eat my son tomorrow.‘ 29 So we boiled my son and ate him. And I said to her on the next day, 'Give your son, that we may eat him'; but she has hidden her son." NKJV

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE HOST HEAVEN? WHO COMMANDS THE HOSTS OF HEAVEN? READ: JOB 9:4-10 4 God is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against Him and prospered? 5 He removes the mountains, and they do not know When He overturns them in His anger; 6 He shakes the earth out of its place, And its pillars tremble; 7 He commands the sun, and it does not rise; He seals off the stars. 8 He alone spreads out the heavens, And treads on the waves of the sea. 9 He made the Bear, Orion and the Pleiades, And the chambers of the south. 10 He does great things past finding out, Yes, wonders without number.

For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. 15 The sun and moon will grow dark, And the stars will diminish their brightness. 16 The LORD also will roar from Zion, And utter His voice from Jerusalem; The heavens and earth will shake; But the LORD will be a shelter for His people, And the strength of the children of Israel. AT THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN READ: MATTHEW 24:29-31 29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE HOST HEAVEN? THE HOST OF HEAVEN SHALL BE DISSOLVED WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE DAY OF THE LORD? THE HEAVENS WILL BE DISSOLVED READ: 2 PETER 3:10-13 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 Looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire and the elements will melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. THE HEAVENS WILL BE FOLDED UP READ: HEBREWS 1:8-12 8 But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions." 10 And: "You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands. 11 They will perish, but You remain; And they will all grow old like a garment; 12 Like a cloak You will fold them up, And they will be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will not fail." NKJV

THE SKY RECEDED AS A SCROLL WHEN IT IS ROLLED UP READ: REVELATION 6:12-14 12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; The sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. 13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. 14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.

For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah, And a great slaughter in the land of Edom. 7 The wild oxen shall come down with them, And the young bulls with the mighty bulls; Their land shall be soaked with blood, And their dust saturated with fatness."

  30. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 34:5-7 JUDGMENT ON THE NATIONS 5 "For My sword shall be bathed in heaven; Indeed it shall come down on Edom, And on the people of My curse, for judgment. HOW DOES THE LORD EXECUTE HIS JUDGMENT? WHAT DOES THE SWORD OF THE LORD REPRESENT? JUSTICE? JUDGMENT? READ: DEUTERONOMY 32:39-42 39 'Now see that I, even I, am He, And there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand. 40 For I raise My hand to heaven, And say, "As I live forever, 41 If I whet My glittering sword, And My hand takes hold on judgment, I will render vengeance to My enemies, And repay those who hate Me. 42 I will make My arrows drunk with blood, And My sword shall devour flesh, With the blood of the slain and the captives, From the heads of the leaders of the enemy."' NKJV

  31. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 34:5-7 6 The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, It is made overflowing with fatness, With the blood of lambs and goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams. For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah, And a great slaughter in the land of Edom. WHY DID THE LORD DESTROY EDOM AND BOZRAH? WHO WERE THE EDOMITES? EDOM – DESCENDENTS OF ESAU WHAT DID DAVID DO TO THE EDOMITES?
