  4. First WordLuke 23:34 “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” • What do you think is the significance of this? • Forgiveness is extended to his torturers. • Jesus is brother to the tortured, and forgiver to the torturer.

  5. First Word “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Ask yourself… • Do you take time on a regular basis to confess your sins so that you might enjoy the freedom of forgiveness? • Do you really believe God has forgiven your sins?

  6. Second WordLuke 23:43 “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.” • What do you think is the significance of this? • Paradise? • Septuagint denotes garden/forest • The place of bliss between death and resurrection. • Admission into paradise?
