  2. Volleyball My hobby is volleyball. I have been playing volleyball for 8 years. I like volleyball, because it is team game. I can learn to communicate with other people by playing volleyball.

  3. Volleyball history The game of volleyball, originally called “mintonette”, was invented in 1895 by William G. Morgan, after the invention of basketball by only 4 years earlier. Morgan, a graduate of the Springfield College of the YMCA, designed the game to be a combination of basketball, baseball, tennis and handball.

My favourite men’s volleyball player Bartosz Kurek (born August 29, 1988 in Wałbrzych) is a Polish men's volleyball player, member of the team that won the 2009 Men's European Volleyball Championship. His father, Adam Kurek, also was a volleyball player, played several times for Poland. Kurek began his career in a team from Nysa (2004–2005), then moving to Kedzierzyn-Kozle (2005–2008). Now he plays for Skra Bełchatów where he won both Championship and Cup of Poland games for the season 2008 - 2009.

My favourite women’s volleyball player Anna Werblińska née Barańska (born May 14, 1984 in Świdnica) is a Polish volleyball player, member of the National Team of Poland in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. Werblińska, who is 178 centimeters tall and weights 69 kilograms, began her career at the local club Polonia Świdnica which played in the Second League. In 1999, while playing for Polonia, she won silver medal at the Junior Championships of Poland, and in 2001, she moved to Wrocław, where remained until 2005, playing for Gwardia Wrocław. In 2005 Werblińska changed clubs again, moving to Winiary Kalisz, where she won Championships of Poland. This success was repeated in 2006.

  6. My favourite volleyball team PGE Skra Bełchatów SSA – Polish professional volleyball team, based in Bełchatów, playing in Polish Volleyball League (Polska Liga Siatkówki - PLS). It is one of the most successful clubs in Poland.
