  3. What is the Biggest barrier to putting ideas into action?

  4. How do you HARNESS time? • BUILD A TEAM • SELECT PROJECTS STRATEGICALLY: • CONSIDER WHERE AND HOW YOU MAY HAVE THE MOST IMPACT • CONSIDER WHAT PROCESSES WILL SUPPORT OR IMPEDE YOUR EFFORTS • Sometimes called an “effort/yield” analysis

  5. 6 Thinking hats Exercise – Basic IDEA • Strategy: • Select an idea • Take it out for a “ test drive” • Consider the idea from all angles • Based on those considerations: • Modify • Abandon • Move forward!

Describe and sell an idea in the time it takes to get from the ground floor to the top floor of an office building • Why? “Investors” (stakeholders) are busy, often flooded with good ideas – you need yours to stand out – quickly! • How?: Prepare using the following ideas • 1. Who am I? • 2. What do I offer? • 3. What problem is solved? • 4. What are the main contributions I can make? • 5. What should the listener do as a result of hearing this?
