Who is Albrecht Durer? • Albrecht Durer was born on May 21st, 1471 in Nuremberg, in Germany. • His parents were Albrecht Durer the elder (father) and Barbra Holper (mother). • Albrecht was the third child out of his eighteen other siblings. • He was also trained at a very young age to be a metalworker. • Albrecht is best known as the greatest Northern European Renaissance art and for his graphic arts. • After a few years of studying art, Michael Wolgemut noticed Albrecht’s talent, Michael introduced the art of woodcutting and stain glass making.

  3. Albrecht’s best paintings • Albrecht had created many fascinating paintings in the past. • Albrecht even created the painting; “A Young Hare” that Mrs. Freedman had told us to refer to when we were doing the animal drawing project! • You might recognize the painting of the Young Hare.
