Apple Pie with Sugar Crumb Topping Ingredients: Preparation: Blend sugar, salt, spices and margarine in a mixing bowl. Peel and slice apples in thin wedges. Toss apples in mixture to coat well. Arrange apples in a pie shell. • 2/3 C granulated sugar • ¼ t salt • ¼ t cinnamon • ¼ t nutmeg • 1 T butter or margarine (cold) • 3 apples • 1 pie crust
Sugar Crumb Topping/Baking Directions Ingredients: Preparation: In a mixing bowl, blend sugars, flour, salt, & butter. (Do not over mix – only mix until mixture resembles crumbs.) Spoon topping over apples to make a crumb topping. Bake complete pie @ 425 degrees for 10 minutes.
