  3. Three preliminary remarks • Corpuses of richly annotated texts do not exist • Research in Egyptian linguistics cannot make significant progress for lack of systematized corpuses • Egyptian texts are not available outside the small circle of Egyptologists (World heritage) J. Winand, S. Rosmorduc & St. Polis University of Liège

  4. Towards an ideal structure ... The goals • a complete morpho-syntactic analysis • a semantic and pragmatic analysis • hieroglyphic coding • multi-criterion and multi-level searches- within a syntagm - within a proposition - within a sentence - beyond the sentence • making encoding easy • developing semi-automatic procedures of analysis • developing a friendly user research interface The means J. Winand, S. Rosmorduc & St. Polis University of Liège

  5. Present general organization Scientific committee J. Winand, head of the project (ULg) P. Vernus (ÉPHÉt) St. Polis (FNRS – ULg) S. Rosmorduc (Paris X – ÉPHÉt) Collaborators L.
