ECONOMY • Unemployment rate at 6.2% (June 13 Quarter) • OCR rate unchanged at 2.5% (since March 2011) • June YE 2013 - a net gain of 7,907 people compared to a net loss of 3,191 a year ago. • Australia bound decreased from 39,809 a year ago to 31,246 with prediction this will drop even more. • Building Stats • YE June 2011 = 13,539 Consents incl apartments • YE June 2012 = 15,414 consents incl apartments (+14%) • YE June 2013 = 18,731 consents incl apartments (+21%) • June Quarter = 5 year high (most since June 2008 quarter) • Non Residential – June 2013 quarter at highest level since the Sept 2009 quarter.

HOUSING in NZ • House sales – 6,135 sold in June 2013 • Same number as June 2012 (under supply) • Days to sell (nationally) = 34 • Sell price was 8.4% ahead of LY (supply versus demand) • National annualized pace of increase is 14% • Auckland at 27% • Christchurch at 15% • Wellington 4% • Rest of North Island 2% • Rest of South Island 13% Summary – we need more houses

Urgent & Fast Track Order Acknowledgement • Goal • To provide more accurate acknowledgement dates for Urgent and Fast track orders • PROCESS: • CS refer to Fast track list at specific times – 8am,10am,12pm & 2pm • From the fast Track list , at each time slot CS to note down all current Sales order numbers logged to spreadsheet during that time. • For each Sales order noted , CS to forward customer a manual order acknowledgement advising of correct estimated time of delivery, Original acknowledgement is included.
