Preventing CAUTI at the Front Door • Also reviewed the inappropriate indications for catheter placement: • Incontinence (without additional indication) • Diuresis • Frequent, nonessential measurement of UOP • Nurse’s concern about patient discomfort • Diarrhea (without additional indication) • Patient’s preference
