  1. Aqüífero Guarani O Aqüífero Guarani é o maior manancial de água doce subterrânea transfronteiriço do mundo. Está localizado na região centro-leste da América do Sul, e e ocupa uma área de 1,2 milhões de Km², estendendo-se pelo Brasil (840.000l Km²), Paraguai (58.500 Km²), Uruguai (58.500 Km²) e Argentina (255.000 Km²). Sua maior ocorrência se dá em território brasileiro (2/3 da área total), abrangendo os Estados de Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina e Rio Grande do Sul.
