  10. 1. Train Equipment • Equipment will be maintained out of LA • One new train set (extension of train #761) • Amtrak will provide equipment – if necessary

  11. 2. Secure Operating Funds • If equipment available by April 2016 • Fund estimate includes: • $3 million - FY 15/16 • $6 million - FY 16/17 • Need continued strong local support • Need state legislative leadership

  12. 3. Agreement from Railroads • 3 capacity simulations completed • Negotiations with UPRR stalled • Capital projects identified are excessive • $43 million programmed • Amtrak engaged for feasibility study now
