  2. Objectives • Describe the STD/HIV screening protocol developed by STD/HIV/AIDS Prevention Division • Present strategies used and screening process • Summarize findings

  3. Background • 8% of the total population of Puerto Rico (304,688) is between the ages of 14 to 18 years old*, • 49% are females* • Total enrollment for public high schools in 2006 was 118,459 students * Census 2000
