  2. APRIL MIS: Society and Literature as a source of inspiration In April, we bring you five different social films. An immigrant in a new country, a teenager who is discovering his body, a strong woman who is going through out difficult times, a War Veteran that hides a big secret and a football referee who made a family promise that make him to became a looser. Also we highlight the release of series,“Los misterios de Laura“ and the 5th season of “Cuéntame cómo pasó". We celebrate the 50th anniversary of “Historias para no dormir“ and bring you two Spanish literature classics, “El alcalde de Zalamea“ and “Fuenteovejuna", which made the leap to TV with high success.

  3. FLORES DE OTRO MUNDO Director: IcíarBollaín(1999) Social drama. Romance.   4. MÁS PENA QUE GLORIA Director: Víctor García León (2001) Drama. Comedy. Cast: Biel Durán, Bárbara Lennie, Enrique San Francisco, María Galiana, Manuel Lozano, Alicia Sánchez, Fernando Conde, Asunción Planas, Pilar Duque, Jesús Beltrán, Rubén López, Ángela Cremonte, Alberto Ferreiro, Luis Vallejo David is a sensitive teenager that lives in his own poetry and ilusion world. An introverted boy with a huge inner world who discovers how the reality works. He discovers that his parents are not the best. He starts failling exams. He discovers that sex is not the most romantic thing in the world. And he discovers that, actually, he is more like a loser than a winner. Cast: Emma Suárez, Juan Diego Botto, Mirtha Ibarra, Rosana Pastor, Manuel Manquiña, Maite Blasco, Àlex Brendemühl, Javier Martín, Adrià Collado, Elena Irureta, Alberto San Juan, José Manuel Cervino, Duna Jové Marga is a youngwomanthat, thatsuddenly, loses herjob and laterherhusbanddies in a car accident. Also, shediscoversthatispregnant. In those circunstancies she has tostart a new life. Onherfighttosurvivemeetsthe real friendship, maternitypleasure and evenlove.   7. LA LUZ PRODIGIOSA Director: Miguel Hermoso (2003) Drama. Cast: Alfredo Landa, Nino Manfredi, KitiMánver, José Luis Gómez, Iván Corbacho, Sergio Villanueva, Mariano Peña. August, 1936, Spanish Civil War. A youngAndalusianshepherdpicks up a manwho has beenshooted, and who his executioners have given up for dead. He is searching for a place to hide him. The injured man, is in coma due to the injuries. In 1980, the shepherd finds the man again: He is now an old homeless who roams the streets of Granada. The former shepherd is then obstinate to find out the identity of the man. With time, the investigation leads him to glimpse the old man may have been an important person before the war 2003: Moscow Festival: BestForeign Film Award

  8. EL ALCALDE DE ZALAMEA RTVE (1973) Theatre. Cast: Paco Rabal, Fernando Fernán Gómez, Teresa rabal Director: Mario Camús “El alcalde de Zalamea”, is a SpanishTV moviedirectedby Mario Camús and released in 1973. Itis a version of thesamename drama writtenby D. Pedro Calderón de la Barca. Itispart of the tribute that RTVE madetoSpanishliteratureduringthe 70s. Films withlargebudgetsand some of thebestdirectors and actors of the time.

  9. FUENTEOVEJUNA RTVE (1972) Theatre. Cast: Eusebio Poncela “Fuenteovejuna” is a Spanish TV moviereleased in 1972, basedonthethatreplay of thesamename, writtenby Lope de Vega. Eusebio Poncela, Spanishactor, producer and scripwritter, forged in the theater of the last years of Franco, leads the cast. Considered a historicalfact, thestorytakesplace in theCordovantown of Fuente Ovejuna, in times of theCatholicMonarchs(1474-1535).

  10. LOS MISTERIOS DE LAURA Boomerang TV (2009) Suspense. Policial. Director: Pau Freixas Cast: María Pujalte, Fernando Guillén-Cuervo, Oriol Tarrasón Police series broadcasted by TVE, “The Mysteries of Laura” continues the tradition of shows like “Murder, she Wrote” or "Colombo", and collects elements of Agatha Christie mystery novels, interspersed with personal and sentimental life of the star. The homicide detective, Laura Lebrel, a single mom, prefers to be guided "by their smell and intuition" becoming a dear and close person to the audience, cracking cases after cases while raising his childsand locking horns with her less than helpful police detective ex-husband. Creator: Narciso Ibáñez Serrador Original idea of one of themostemblematicminds of Spanishtelevision, Narciso Ibañez Serrador, cretor of the TV show “Un, dos, tres… Responda otra vez“. The series has independentepisodeswherethe terror becomesthemaincharacter. Storiesof writterslikeRayBradbury o Edgar Allan Poe, and other original scripts writtenby Ibáñez Serrador, amongothers.
