  2. Why I have analysed these magazine reviews so I can gain knowledge on how to produce my magazine review page. There are many techniques used in the 2 magazines that I have analysed which I will try to use in my magazine when creating.

True Grit The photo covers about ¾ of the page and this makes it appeal to the reader as they know there is not to much writing Shows what it has been released on e.g. cinema Title stands out so the reader straight away knows what film they are reading about Like this page when doing a review the image used needs to grab the readers attention and also show the genre of magazine with one picture Gives a quote from the article to show the reader there opinion of the article before they start reading. The colour scheme blue, white and black work well with each other and contrast with each other.

  4. Spiderman 2 Labelling the review saying “film of the month” immediately entices the reader to take a look at the review as they know the film is good. Shows that it is new and people may want to take a look. Title stands out and is the only writing that is black and bold on the page The photo immediately identifies to the reader that the film is Spiderman and this is what I need to do when creating my magazine review There are many different techniques used in the article such as showing the main quote bigger and many others to make it less boring and more attractable Verdict stands out and also gives the reader an idea of how this film is rated and with a 5 star review readers will want to read and see how good it is. Also there is a key at the top of the page which shows what the stars mean. Pictures shows he is ready to fight and also sets the scene, this is something to consider when taking a photo for my magazine review
