  2. 1. Thank God for all the believers; make mention of them by name. 2. Remember specific deeds that believers have done. 3. Pray that they would know that they are the elect of God. 4. Thank God without ceasing that he/she received the word of God.

  3. 5. Pray that believers would welcome the word of God. 6. That eyes would be opened that the Bible is the word of God, not man. 7. Ask that God's word would work in the lives of believers.

  4. Important Words: making mention: recital, perhaps a prayer list remembering: to exercise the memory, rehearse without ceasing: uninterrupted

  5. work: the deed, act, toil labor: toil which makes weary patience: to remain under, endure hope: confident expectation election: chosen, selected by grace effectively: to work mightily, be capable, potent, fervent (energy)

  6. Sample Prayer: Thank You God, for _______. I bear in mind the work, weary labor, and endurance of _______. I ask that _______ would be conscious always of the fact that he/she is special, chosen by God. Thank You that _______ has received the word of God.

  7. I pray that _______ would accept, take possession of, admit, that Your word is real. Cause _______ to believe that the Bible is the word of God and not of men. I ask that Your word would work effectively, mightily, and fervently in _______'s life.
