What is all saints day? • Celebrated by church members • It is celebrated to honour the deceased members of their religion. • All saints day has been celebrated since the middle ages. • It is celebrated on the first Sunday of November. • The English word "saint" derives from the Latin Sanctus, which means "holy.“ • The traditional colour for All Saint Day is White.

Why is it so special? -People celebrate it to remember the saints of the middle ages. -They remember them as examples for the way they respected the Bible. -Their 2,000 year history is full of memories of faithful men and woman. -As well as celebrating ancestors they remember their friends and family and mentors who are now living in heaven.

  4. How is it celebrated? • - Lighting candles above respected peoples graves • Going to a church service • Thinking about the deceased • Playing practical jokes on the adults
