  1. Journal: Dec. 2nd: Shakespeare Create this chart in your journal. In the Know column, please write down everything you know about William Shakespeare. In the Want to Know column, please write down everything you want to know about William Shakespeare.

  2. Warm-up: Dec. 3rd • Please take out the Shakespeare questions you were assigned last night for homework. I will be coming by to check those. • Please complete the Romeo and Juliet Pre-Reading Discussion Questions. Please be sure to answer in complete sentences as well as be specific with your explanation for each one. • We will discuss these shortly.

Journal: December 4th: Hatred In a half page journal entry, please respond to the following prompt: • How is it possible for someone to get caught up in the idea of hating another individual or group of individuals simply because of their name or what they’ve been told about that person or group? Please be specific with your explanation.

  4. Journal: 6 word memoir 12-05-13 • A memoir is “an account of one's personal life and experiences; autobiography.” • Create a 6 wordmemoirfor yourself! Try to capture the essence of your life! • Example: • 1. Exhausted mama of 5 praying for a snow day. • 2. Passionate literary enthusiast igniting the flame. • 3. Loving wife desiring a date with doting husband. • 4. Bama hater loving Saban’s public demise.

  5. 12/11: Journal: Appropriate? During Nelson Mandela’s Memorial Service, our President along with Prime Ministers from two other countries took a selfie. Do you think this behavior is appropriate for the leader of our country? Why or why not? Has our use of technology crossed the line? Be specific with your explanation.

  6. 12/12/13: Journal: Feud People feud for many reasons. Write a news story for your local newspaper detailing the beginning of a feud. Be creative.

  11. 12/19/13: Journal: Falling in Love To the best of your ability, please utilize vivid, descriptive language to describe the act of falling in love. Be specific. Think about: • How are your senses affected? • How is your perception of the world altered? • How is your perception of yourself changed? • How do your actions change?
