We don’t tend to go to the salon for getting a pedicure in the winter season. Thankfully there are lots of DIYs to do at home to achieve salon-quality results at home. All you need is some products and a step by step instructions to getting a salon-quality pedicure in the comfort of your home. S T E P 1 : U S E N A I L P O L I S H R E M O V E R Remove the nail polish in your nails using nail polish remover and a cotton pad. Once the nail polish is over, still run the remover on your nail to remove the excess oil on the nail. S T E P 2 : S O A K Y O U R F E E T Use hot water and fill the tube with it. Use body washes soap. Soak your feet in it for 15 minutes. During this time, you can rest and relax by using a face mask. S T E P 3 : R E M O V E D E A D S K I N Once your feet are dried, use a foot file to remove the dead skin from the hard areas. Pay attention to the balls, the sides and your heels of the feet. You can scrap this area until they feel smooth. Don’t overdo it as it may cause irritation in your feet. S T E P 4 : T R I M A N D S H A P E Y O U R N A I L S Use a good nail trimmer to achieve the length and shape that you want. The easiest way is you can cut the nail straight and then use the nail file to buff

S T E P 5 : A P P L Y C U T I C L E O I L You need to apply cuticle oil like Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil to the base of your nail. Cuticle oil helps to keep your feet soft and moisturized; besides it also keeps your polish from chipping. S T E P 6 : M O I S T U R I Z E Y O U R F E E T Apply moisturizer to your feet to keep the skin hydrated and smooth. S T E P 7 : P R E P A R E Y O U R T O E S Use toe separators to paint your nails and to avoid any mess. S T E P 8 : T H E N A P P L Y P O L I S H Apply a base coat on nails for the perfect application of nail polish on it. Let it dry. Then apply two to three coats of nail polish and make sure that it has dried properly. Care should be taken to build thin coats of polish to make it look classy, otherwise, the thick stroke will make the paint look clumsy and it will also take longer to dry. S T E P 9 : U S E A Q U I C K - D R Y I N G T O P C O A T Once the nail polish is applied, use a top coat to maintain high shine and luster. Nail polish takes about 12 hours to harden, so it is recommended to stick your feet in cold water for a few minutes to help your nail polish solidify.
