Class Objectives • Identify Rules and Regulations associated with living in NSCC Recruit Training facilities. • Identify safety and security requirements associated with living in Recruit Training facilities. • Understand NSCC policy and BEQ Regulations concerning gender separate berthing in accordance with NSCC Regulations. • Identify the requirements for passing Zone Inspections in accordance with NSCC Recruit Training SOPs.

Safety & Security • Daily Musters • Compartment Watch • Fire Prevention • Fire Procedures
Watchstanding Procedures • Governed by General & Special Orders • Two-hour watches from 2200-0500. • Watch stood in Uniform of the Day. • Report to Petty Officer of the Watch every 15 minutes. • Must remain awake and alert! Don’t be this cadet!!!
Fire Safety • Fire Prevention • General Procedures • Fire Alarm Procedures • Evacuation Procedures • Muster Point
Barracks Gender Rules • Members of the opposite sex are NOT allowed in each others berthing compartments or heads! • All personnel will be fully clothes when leaving billets to walk to head. NO TOWELS! • Additional rules as prescribed by Company Commander.
Zone Inspection • Formal – 2 x during week • Informal – Daily • Part of honor company overall scoring. • Basic Standards: • Gear Adrift • Improperly Made Racks • General Cleanliness • Contraband
