Total Cell Death and Apoptotic Levels in Human NSC Following Multiple Treatments
This study examines the effects of various treatments (TRAIL, TNF-α, CHX, zVAD-fmk, and Necrostatin) on total cell death and apoptotic levels in human neural stem cells (NSC) at 24-72 hours post-treatment. Additional treatments (IL-1α, TGF-β1, IL-6, PGE2) were applied before irradiation (0-5 Gy) to assess their roles in influencing cell death. Results are expressed as means ± S.D., with statistical significance determined using Student’s t-test (p < 0.05). This research helps understand the therapeutic potential of these agents in NSC.

Total cell death and apoptotic levels in human NSC 24-72 h after indicated treatments: (A) TRAIL (50 ng/ml), TNFa (50 ng/ml), CHX (1 mg/ml) zVAD-fmk (40 mM) and Necrostatin (40 mM); (B) IL1a (10 ng/ml), TGFb1 (5 ng/ml), TNFa (50 ng/ml), IL6 (50 ng/ml), PGE2 (10 ng/ml); (C)IL1a (10 ng/ml), PGE2 (10 ng/ml) and TGFb1 (5ng/ml) were added 30 min before irradiation (0-5 Gy). Errorbars represent means + S.D. (p < 0.05, Student’s t test); stars indicate a significant difference.
