Benzaldehid Benzaldehida(C6H5CHO) adalahsenyawaorganikyang terdiridaricincinbenzenadengansubstituentformil.Benzaldehidadalaharomatikaldehidyang paling sederhanadansalahsatuyang paling bergunasecara industri, benzaldehidaadalahkomponenutamadariminyakalmond dandapatdiperolehdarisejumlahsumberalamlainnya.Benzaldehidapertamakali diekstrakdarikacangalmond pahitpadatahun 1803olehMartres, apotekerPerancis.Pada1832 kimiawanJermanFriedrich Wöhlerdan Justus von Liebigpertamakali mensintesisbenzaldehida.
