  3. Technology Need • Demand for flexible education • Demand for Technology leader in education (schools, etc) • Technology Certification for Teacher • supply and demand case and each country’s ability to prepare education for its people varied from each country to another

  4. Professional Development Need • K-12, community college, business or higher education. • Individuals with technical and training backgrounds not holding teaching licenses who wish to pursue work in instructional design, web design business and/or community college

Technology for Education • philosophy of the CET program is that computers and technology should be integrated into the curriculum or organizations as part of the total process of teaching and learning. • Our goal is to provide students with the knowledge, skill, and experiences to perform successfully as leaders in computer education and technology related fields.

Hybrid Classroom • Reduce unemployment rate through hybrid education • Distance learning through Online learning (Online discussion and test and Web conference Lectures) • Virtual-schooling that Meet NETS for T & S standards (OU) • Help students at risk of falling behind as well as those who are interested in electives not offered at their own schools • catch up online rather than in summer school and also to provide interesting electives that are not widely available. • increase access to high-quality content • Encourage schools to develop • Students will get help with time management from pacing charts that will tell them what work should be completed when. • but they will access course materials and submit work online, work at their own pace, and communicate with teachers online or by telephone and with other students via the internet, • ("Rolling enrollment" allows student-initiated, independent participation without a specified enrollment schedule such as by quarter or semester.) • virtual schools are quickly becoming part of the landscape of American education. • effort to develop an online educational program funded entirely by the state and staffed by its own teachers.

COE of OU • The Master’s Degree Program in Computer Education and Technology is designed in an online/weekend format to bring flexibility and convenience to students while maintaining a face-to-face connection. Courses meet on weekends three times each quarter while the remaining instruction is conducted online. • The program serves educators who hold a professional teaching license in another field and wish to complete a master's of technology and/or seek a multi-age endorsement in Computer Technology. The program prepares classroom teachers to use technology more effectively in their teaching and to become technology leaders in their school or district. • Additionally, the Master’s Degree Program in Computer Education and Technology also serves those wishing to pursue advanced preparation in Computer Technology to be used in K-12, community college, business or higher education. Individuals with technical and training backgrounds not holding teaching licenses who wish to pursue work in instructional design, web design business and/or community college are also supported by the Master's in Computer Education and Technology. • The underlying philosophy of the CET program is that computers and technology should be integrated into the curriculum or organizations as part of the total process of teaching and learning. Our goal is to provide students with the knowledge, skill, and experiences to perform successfully as leaders in computer education and technology related fields.
