Don’t leave food unsupervised on the stove, in the oven or even in the microwave Keep flammable materials away from the stove or hot appliances Turn off appliances when finished using them

Fire & Burn Prevention – in the Kitchen Supervise kids & pets while cooking Keep a fire extinguisher in the kitchen Turn pot & pan handles to the back to keep them from being pulled down or knocked over If a fire starts in a pan, quickly cover the pan with a lid or cookie sheet and turn off the stove Call 911
