  1. Job Opportunities after Mechanical Engineering – MITAOE

  2. Mechanical Engineering is one of the foundational and the most preferred branches of Engineering, thanks to its broad base of the application. Traditionally, mechanical engineers designed, manufactured, and tested different types of engines, industrial equipment, power plant systems, aerospace components, and more such intricate pieces of machinery putting to use their expertise in areas like Mechanics, Structural Analysis, Kinematics, and Robotics.

  3. • With changing time, the application base of the concepts of Mechanical Engineering has dwarfed its traditional boundaries, and the number and variety of jobs after Mechanical engineering has grown hand in hand with it. • In this article, we will be looking at the industries that recruit mechanical engineers, some of the job profiles available after Mechanical engineering, and the placement opportunities for Mechanical Engineering students at the MIT Academy of Engineering (MITAOE).

  4. Jobs available After Mechanical Engineering • Now that we have seen some of the industries that employ mechanical engineers, we can go ahead and take a glimpse at the jobs that are there for mechanical engineers. Listed below are some of the job roles that mechanical engineers get in different industries, after Mechanical Engineering.

  5. • Maintenance Engineer • As the name suggests, a maintenance engineer's role is to maintain all the equipment and machinery in a factory or plant and make sure they are running smoothly. A maintenance engineer also oversees the routine maintenance procedures and repairs. Maintenance engineering roles are available in sectors like manufacturing, automobile, and power and energy.

  6. CAD Technician • A CAD technician makes use of CAD and other software of similar nature to curate plans and comes up with technical drawings for various products and parts of equipment that are frequently used in industries such as manufacturing and construction. As these drawings find use at multiple stages of a project ranging from the cost estimation to the installation instructions, CAD technicians play a pivotal role in any industry they are employed in.

  7. • Automotive Engineer • Automotive engineers design and develop new products and also modify existing ones to make optimal use of the resources available in hand. They have to deploy their commercial and engineering skills during the process of development to create a product that will find a broad user base. Automotive engineers are required in industries like manufacturing, power, and automobile.

  8. Control and Instrumentation (C & I) Engineer • The primary responsibility of a C & I engineer is to design, create, install, manage, and maintain devices that are used to control and monitor engineering systems and machinery. It is their job to ensure that these systems function efficiently and safely. Major industries that recruit C & I engineers are the nuclear and renewable energy sector and the manufacturing sector.

  9. Mechanical Engineering placement at MITAOE • MITAOE features high in the top engineering colleges in Maharashtra and offers both B.Tech and M.Tech programs in Mechanical Engineering. Going by the recruiters' list and the past placement records, the campus placement at MITAOE for mechanical engineers is one of the best in Maharashtra. Recruiters like Oil India Limited, Jindal Drilling & Industries Limited and SpiceJet recruit mechanical engineers from MITAOE and offer very handsome pay packages.

  10. • To know more about MITAOE and the campus placement opportunities for Mechanical Engineering students, visit the website.

  11. Conclusion • Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) is the first private Engineering Institute to be established in the city of Pune, Maharashtra. It is one of the premier institutes for Indian and international students offering Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Engineering, Management, Medicine, Pharmacy, Design, and so on. • MIT Academy of Engineering (MITAOE), Alandi, Pune, was established in 1999 under MAEER by the honorable Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder and Executive President of MIT Group..
