  1. Holistic Education and Development in MAEER's MIT Schools In this world of cut throat competition, schools focus more on academics and scoring good marks. Many times, in the run for scoring the highest marks, schools ignore the overall development of the students. They do not get time to indulge in their favourite sport or hobby as they are studying all the time. This can hamper the personality development of the students. Hence, it is essential to find a school that focuses on overall development. MAEER's (Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational Research) MIT institutes are great examples of such schools. MAEER is an educational trust that was established by Prof. Dr. Vishwanth D Karad in the year 1983. This trust believes that education is not only essential for individual development but also for the development of the entire nation. This is an institute that amalgamates both science and spirituality together while imparting education to young minds. This is what helps the institute to bring forth a holistic approach to teaching. The institutes under MAEER's MIT give equal importance to academics and extra-curricular activities. For the academic part, we have trained teachers who are experts in the subjects they teach. Classroom learning in our schools is informative as well as interactive. Students are also exposed to well-equipped libraries and laboratories too. Students are also given the freedom to ask doubts and raise questions. We believe in the concept of freedom of learning. Apart from studying, students are also encouraged to take part in activities like sports, music, etc. Every day, students are given almost two hours time to play games, sports or take up a hobby. This helps to create a good balance in students. Moreover, MAEER is an institute that believes that to make students good and rounded individuals, spiritual awakening is extremely necessary. Hence, students are exposed to yoga as well as religious activities. The institute also actively celebrates all the major occasions and festivals of the country so that students get to know and understand their importance. In short, it can be said that MAEER's MIT school nourishes young talent, thus encouraging their overall growth and development.
