Characteristics of Clark Students Educated • Students can earn Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate degrees • 31 majors: Psychology and Government & International Relations are the most popular Diverse • Approximately one-third of students have international experience and/or speak a second language Involved • 53% of students volunteer in community service and 24% play intercollegiate athletics

Benefits of the Clark Recruiter • It’s free to post a position for Clark students and alumni • For a small fee, you can post your position to other colleges and universities around the country – a great return on investment • The Clark Recruiter is the primary resource for students seeking current jobs and internships • Clark undergraduates access the Clark Recruiter on a regular basis

Accessing the Clark Recruiter http://www.clarku.edu/offices/career/ • Click on the Clark Recruiter logo on the right-hand side of the page • Select “for employers” to register for a new account • Your account will be reviewed within one business day • You will receive a notice when your account has been approved

  8. Posting a Job or Internship • Go to the Jobs/Internships tab and select “Add New” • A “Single School Posting” is free and advertised to all Clark students • Optional - select “Multi-School Posting,” which allows you to advertise your jobs and internships to students from other colleges and universities around the country for a fee

  9. Liberal Arts Career Network (LACN) • LACN is a consortium of 30 highly selective, private liberal arts colleges around the country • Post a job and internship in the LACN online database and reach over 60,000 students with just one posting, for free! http://www.lacnjobs.org

Colleges of Worcester Consortium (COWC) • The COWC is a consortium of 13 area colleges and universities, enrolling 30,000+ students in a wide variety of degree programs • The COWC offers an online internship database – it’s free to post an internship that will reach all COWC students! http://www.collegecentral.com/cowc/

Career Fairs Clark holds two career fairs and participates in four other off campus career events every year • Fall: Clark Community Engagement Fair • Spring:Clark Career and Summer Internship Fair • Off Campus: • LARC Boston Job Fair (Fall) • BARC New York Interview Day (Spring) • COWC Career Fair (Spring) • MERC Education Job Fair (Spring)

On-campus Interviews • Schedule a date to conduct first-round interviews on campus for job or internship opportunities • Post your opportunity on the Clark Recruiter for all students to view • Career Services will collect resumes and forward them to you for review • You may decide to interview all candidates or select the most qualified

  13. Information Sessions • Schedule an information session to describe your organization, the employment and/or internship opportunities available, and your application process • Sessions are typically 1 hour long, held in the afternoon or evening • Please book at least three weeks in advance

Tabling in the University Center • Advertise your organization and positions by staffing a table in Clark's University Center • The lunch hour (11am-1pm) on Tuesday and Thursday tends to get the most traffic • For best results, be sure you have catchy visual aids • Please book at least three weeks in advance
