  2. Introduction Pandas are the ambassador for animals that are endangered. They are great tree climbers, and they can swim to escape any predators. Pandas eat bamboo, even though they have the digestive system of a carnivore they can’t digest plant matter. So, a giant panda has to eat 20-45 lbs. of bamboo shoots a day. Once in a blue moon pandas will eat flowers, vines, tufted grasses, green corn, honey, and rodents.

  3. Where We Live… Today, approximately there are 2,000 pandas are in wild. At the end of 2006, there were 180 pandas that were reported in captivity in China and 20 other countries. Pandas lived in both in mountains and low land areas. They are now only found in the mountains of central China, in Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces.

  4. Pandas are solitary animals and they spend most of their day eating. They do communicate with one another through scent markings, noise calls, and occasional meetings. Other bears like the black bear and grizzly hibernate, but the panda don’t hibernate. In the winter they move to lower land to keep warm. Pandas don’t really have permanent homes, they usually sleep in rock ledges.

  5. Conclusion Giant pandas are a unique species. They are capable of many things that other bears can’t do, like eating bamboo, and spending most of their day eating. Their fur color is also cool. All though they are endangered we can still help them re-produce in zoos . Thanks for watching! 
