Enhancing Change Detection in 3D Parametric Modeling through Symbolic Diagrams

This project explores changes detection and control within 3D parametric systems using symbolic diagrams. We address challenges such as change blindness, occlusion, and multi-location modifications that complicate the detection of small geometric changes. We propose innovative visualizations through a symbolic diagram approach that illustrates dependencies and relationships using directed acyclic graphs (DAGs). Our research evaluates how existing CAD visualizations can be enhanced to support effective change detection and control, ensuring a more intuitive design experience for users.
