  4. Mission • Forms relationships • Engaging and Providing services to all communities in Sulaymani, Kurdistan, Iraq 5/22/2013

  5. Objectives • Strengthen the link between university and society • Organizing activities that affect all the society • Engaging the staff and faculty in developing the society • Encourages students to achieve social justice, community service and strengthen their spirit of volunteerism 5/22/2013

  6. Structure • Council consist of nine members representing university and community • Seven members from well known people from community • One member represents the university • One student represents the university students 5/22/2013

  8. Function • The head of the council is elected by the members • The university member is the coordinator • The council works for two years 5/22/2013

  9. Council tasks • Plans to conduct activities • Suggesting proper mechanisms to fulfill the plan objectives • Engaging the members in the plans as much as they can 5/22/2013

  10. Meeting principles • A meeting is held every two month • In case of emergency a meeting can be set by coordinator or university • A legal meeting is conducted with presence of (%50 + 1) • Decision is made by majority of presence 5/22/2013

  11. Financial • A budget is allocated from the university budget annually for each plan 5/22/2013

  12. Activities • Council’s first activity was setting a meeting between their members and the students 5/22/2013

  15. A Brochure that have been prepared for the 12th grade students on ‘’ How to get ready for the exams? ’’ 5/22/2013
