  1. MY Problem My problem = • Deceitful anxiety • Deceitful riches • Deceitful pleasures Deception!!

  2. Let’s imagine a situation (me in the centre) 2 Issues – • Who am I to take central place? • What about everybody else? Jesus said: • “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.” • “Love your neighbor as yourself”.

  3. Jesus in the centre Jesus …but we are not nobodies! • God called us, chose us, loved us for a purpose. • God’s children, Jesus’ younger brothers.

  4. The real problem • Deceitful • Anxiety • Riches • Pleasures Destroy us! Go against God’s righteous and loving requirements!

  5. God’s love is the answer • E.g., regards the sexual area remember marriage is God’s idea not yours! • His idea • In His time • His way • For His purpose • God’s love endures forever.

  6. Deception? or Devotion? • Who will keep us from deception and distractions? • Jesus will • God’s love. • God’s righteousness. 2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.
