  2. THE LORD’S PRAYER “Our Father who art in Heaven; hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.”

  3. THE LORD’S PRAYER IT’S ALL ABOUT GOD! IT IS ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH US IT IS ABOUT HIS NAME IT IS ABOUT HIS KINGDOM IT IS ABOUT HIS WILL

  4. THE LORD’S PRAYER BUT WHAT ABOUT US?? WHAT ABOUT ME??

  5. THE LORD’S PRAYER - PROVISION FOR MY BODY “Give us this day our daily bread…” PARDON FOR MY SOUL “Forgive us our trespasses…” PROTECTION FOR MY SPIRIT “Lead us not into temptation…”

  6. PROVISION FOR TODAY PARDON FOR YESTERDAY PROTECTION FOR TOMORROW

  7. TODAY: “GIVE US THIS DAY, OUR DAILY BREAD”

  8. WHAT IS MEANT BY ‘DAILY BREAD”? “Jesus took the bread and broke it and said, ‘This is my body…’” Lk. 22:19 “I am the bread of life…” Jn. 6:35 ‘Where shall we buy bread that these may eat?’ Jn. 6:5

  9. “Give us this day our daily bread is about REAL BREAD!

  10. QUESTION: SO IF GOD CARES ABOUT OUR DAILY BREAD, WHY ARE THERE SO MANY PEOPLE WHO ARE HUNGRY AND STARVING IN THE WORLD TODAY?

  11. Life if the Garden of Eden “The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the LORD commanded the man, “You are free to EAT FROM ANY TREE IN THE GARDEN; but YOU MUST NOT EAT from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.” Genesis 2:15-17

Life after they ate of the forbidden tree ‘To Adam He said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat of it,’ Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food.”’ Gen. 3:17-19

Life after the curse is lifted “Then the angel showed me a river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. ON EACH SIDE OF THE RIVER STOOD THE TREE OF LIFE, BEARING TWELVE CROPS OF FRUIT, YEILDING ITS FRUIT EVERY MONTH…NO LONGER WILL THERE BE ANY CURSE.” Rev. 22:1-3

  22. TRUTH TO LIVE BY 3. PRAYING , ‘GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD’ RECOGNIZES BOTH OUR NEED AND GOD’S PROVISION WHICH ARE BOTH KEYS TO LIFE!
