Interdisciplinary research partnership • Partnership established with Global Pathogens Laboratory Department of Environmental and Global Health College of Public Health and Health Professions (Dr. Gray, Dr Kelli Barr),EPI, Univ of Florida • Collaboration with Dr. SihongSong and Dr. Lu at the Department of Pharmaceutics • Collaboration with College of Pharmacy, Basel Switzerland, Mumbai India, Herbal Antivirals • Collaboration with Sandford-Burnham: High throughput screening (Dr. Layton Smith ) • Collaboration withDr Dana Focks (pharmacometrics) 2nd Annual Meet FVBDA

What is achieved • Set-up of cell culture model in BSL2(+) level biosafety laboratory • Immuno-assay (Diagnostics, HTS) development is underway • Have completed writing two review manuscripts on : • Important advances in drug development for dengue • High throughput screening for identification of novel antiviral scaffolds 2nd Annual Meet FVBDA

  4. Proposed work • Finish up development of diagnostic test kit, Validate high throughput assay • Working with Dr. Dana Focks, at EPI, develop a mathematical model that will combine epidemiological and pharmacometric approaches 2nd Annual Meet FVBDA
