How did Illinois get to Singapore? • A decade and a half of engagement and collaboration with Singapore, EDB and A*STAR that has led to 1st multi-institutional degree with NUS • ADSC Negotiations started in 2005 • 2009 – Advanced Digital Sciences Center (ADSC) • Physical presence for Illinois in Singapore • Visiting Illinois faculty • Singapore-based permanent research faculty • Students in Illinois Ph.D. programs • ADSC support staff

Professors from Computer Science Computer Engineering technology transfer • Human Sixth Sense Program, HSSP (2009-2014) • $50M+suport for 40 PhD students • - Interactive Digital Media • Smart Grid • Human-Centered Cyberphysical Systems, HCCS • S$20M and extension of 3 years (2014-2017) research

What will ADSC continue to do?ADSC’s research will aim to develop systems which enable humans to interact with the digital world in a manner that is as seamless and natural as the use of any of human senses. The focus is expanded to cover:- Data Analytics of Big Data- Data Visualization- Cyber Security (smart-grid)
