2. If you go technically landscape architecture is one of the parts of urban design. But in 2022 the biggest motive of urban design has been to be as modern and smart as it can be. There is very less essence of landscape architecture in all the plans. Before moving ahead let us know a little bit about what urban design and landscape architecture mean. The layout, look, and function of our suburbs, towns, and cities are all aspects of urban design. It is both a method and a result of establishing communities in which people live, interact with one another, and interact with the physical environment. Planning, development, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, economics, law, and finance are just a few of the disciplines involved in urban design. From the macro size of the urban structure (planning, zoning, transportation, and infrastructure networks) to the micro-scale of street furniture and lighting, urban design acts at multiple scales. The urban design may be used to inform land-use planning, infrastructure, physical form, and even a place's socio-demographic mix when properly integrated into policy and planning processes.

It might be something as simple as improving the habitat for frogs, turtles, fish, and birds in a pond. A park, for example, is an example of landscape design that is easily visible. Other types, such as a meadow or a mountaintop, may appear fully wild. Landscape architecture is concerned with the creation of healthy settings and communities, as well as the protection of people's health, safety, and well-being. So as you saw urban design is concerned with modernity and landscape architecture is concerned with maintaining nature. Blending these two together or finding these two together in one project can be very astonishing. The interdisciplinary balancing act necessary for managing spaces within the city grows increasingly challenging as our cities become more populated and green and public areas (large and small) become more important. Parks, recreational places, and other outdoor urban infrastructure are no longer considered optional after the epidemic struck the planet, but rather a necessity. People are incorporating more greenery into their lives as a result of the pandemic, whether in the shape of balcony greens, kitchen gardens, or regular visits to the nearby community parks and gardens.

4. This shift in mindset and approach is fantastic news for landscape architects since it has opened up new opportunities for the industry. Landscape architects and associated professionals have a bright future ahead of them, as demand for increasingly innovative ways to connect people to nature and improve resilience in densely populated cities grows. So yes a project needs both urban designers and landscape architects so that it can fulfill the consumers' needs. In the race of urbanism and modernism, we should not forget that it is nature that connects us to ourselves and brings internal peace rather than technology.
