Enhancing Teacher Capacity through Digital Learning Strategies in Delaware

The LFS-DIGITAL project aims to elevate teaching and learning in Delaware by leveraging the Delaware Prioritized Curriculum and integrating multimedia and digital resources. Funded by ARRA stimulus funds and a competitive grant, this initiative involves three professional development opportunities over two years, including lesson coaching, technology symposiums, and ongoing support through learning communities. With a focus on improving student achievement and bridging the digital divide, the project promotes the integration of technology in education and fosters research-based instructional practices.

  2. Project Summary LFS-DIGITAL is a professional development project designed to build teacher capacity utilizing the Delaware Prioritized Curriculum and enhancing instruction with emerging multimedia and digital resources.

Background • ARRA 2009- Stimulus Funds • DDOE – Competitive Grant Process “Innovation Grant” • Interest Survey- March • Consortium- Delmar, Laurel and Seaford • Grant Awarded ( ~ 250K) -May 2009 • Entered into Contracts with Discovery Education and K12 Handhelds Inc. ( locate and align resources) and Partner with DE VerizonThinkfinity
