Enhancing Aid Transparency: A Comprehensive Review of Methodology and Monitoring Practices

This document provides an in-depth methodological review of the Aid Transparency Tracker, focusing on how organizations publish aid information. In the evolving global landscape post-Busan, there is an urgent need to monitor and assess donors' ambitious commitments to transparency. The review addresses criticisms of previous methodologies and emphasizes consistency in expectations. A structured approach is proposed, including rigorous assessments of data availability in IATI format and the importance of presenting information in user-friendly formats. This will contribute to achieving full implementation by the end of 2015.
