  1. Welcome to: Period 7 Exploratory Class

  2. What we will do for 9 weeks: • Introduction to the space program:   • Brief research on Dr. Wernher Von Braun and answer questions via email • We will be watching the Movie "October Sky" (PG) in class and answer questions via email • You will construct a paper satellite • You will design Paper Airplanes and test flight it. Then complete a Lab report • We will be watching the movie: "Apollo 13" (PG-13)  and answer questions via email • You will design Paper Rockets and test fly them for height and distance. Then complete a Lab report •  Finally you till design and test a 2 liter bottle of soda for final launch & Flight. GO or NO GO for LIFT OFF to space!!!! 

  3. What you will need to do: • You will need an email address ("gmail" works the best) to email me your answers to some of the assignments.   • When you EMAIL me the assignment: • Subject heading MUST have the following: • Pd7 (your name) (assignment)

  6. Review of How to Save a File • In WORD: • Move the mouse over the WORD Symbol. • Then move the cursor to “SAVE AS” • Next Click on the “WORD 97-2003 Document”

  7. Review of How to Save a File • When the SAVE AS: • Appears, you need to open up your “H” drive • Click on the second icon from the right to create a new folder. • Label your new folder “7th period stuff”

  8. Review of How to Save a File • Go to your new folder you created and save the file • When saving the file, include the following: • Pd7 • Your name • Assignment
