  4. STOCK UPDATE L&T Shares Jump on Q3 Order Inflow, But Analysts Cautious Larsen and Toubro (L&T) shares surged over 5 per cent on Monday, buoyed by the 11 per cent rise in new orders in the December quarter. L&T bagged new orders worth Rs 38,500 crore in Q3, beating Street estimates. However, analysts were not so happy with the operational numbers. L&T posted a net profit of Rs 1,035 crore on revenue of Rs 25,387 crore in Q3, missing estimates. December quarter earnings disappointed on account of a sharp contraction in operating margins. L&T's consolidated operating margin declined to 10.3 per cent, while standalone (infrastructure business) EBITDA margins declined 370 basis points to 6.8 per cent. 5. IPCA Labs Shares Crash on Warning Letter from USFDA IPCA Laboratories shares crashed 16.27 per cent on Monday after the drugmaker said it has received a warning letter from US drug regulator highlighting manufacturing quality lapses at three of its units. The three plants at Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh), SEZ Indore (Pithampur) and Piparia (Silvassa) have already been banned from supplying active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) to the United States after the FDA inspected them in July 2014, January 2015 and March 2015, and first highlighted the lapses. APIs are used in making medicines. "...these manufacturing units received certain inspection observations in Form 483 and which subsequently resulted in issuance of import alert on these manufacturing units... US FDA has now issued a warning letter to these manufacturing units," said IPCA Labs in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange. Contact No. +91-903-977-7700 www.moneyclassicresearch.com
