  4. Hiccup [ˈhɪˌkʌp] Male Lead Son of the Patriarch, Stoick, but did not succeed to his father's legacy. He determined to slay a dragon but often caused little trouble, not influenced by the villagers, especially his father's favorite. Thin body, love the research, but also a bit intellectual temperament.

  5. Astrid [ˈæstreid] Female Lead Virgin girls, one of the most powerful members of dragon training camp, discovered the secret of Hiccup and Toothless, but was impressed by the charm of Hiccup.

  6. Toothless['tuθləs] Dragon “night fury“ , a very rare , most dangerous and intelligent dragon, delivered a blow (similar to ball lightning). It combines the size of cats, and the Wolf-like eyes. Its left wing was broken by Hiccup which made it fail to return to the nest, but became friends with Hiccup.

  9. Long ago up North on the Island of Berk, the young Viking, Hiccup, wants to join his town's fight against the dragons that continually raid their town. However, his macho father and village leader, Stoik the Vast, will not allow his small, clumsy, but inventive son to do so. Regardless, Hiccup ventures out into battle and downs a mysterious Night Fury dragon with his invention, but can't bring himself to kill it. Instead, Hiccup and the dragon, whom he dubs Toothless, begin a friendship that would open up both their worlds as the observant boy learns that his people have misjudged the species. But even as the two each take flight in their own way, they find that they must fight the destructive ignorance plaguing their world. How To Train Your Dragon

  20. The film tells us a story about the relationship between our human and dragons. And I think it may want to tell us that we should live in harmony with every creatures and with our nature ,so we will have a peaceful world.

  21. Furthermore ,I think more about the dragons. They are huge, and some of them may looks fierce , maybe many of them are ugly, but they all have a kind heart at the bottom of their inward. No one wants to fight everyday. People scared them or even hate them just because there is no communication with each other. People don’t know about them at all, and just think the dragons are what they image in their minds. Assumed , if Hiccup didn’t caught the Night Fury and didn’t communicate with it ,who knows it was a that lovely “Toothless”. DRAGONS

  22. It is about dragons, and so do our humans. We can’t affirm a man is a bad one just by judging what he looks. We should look thought his mind, enter his heart. Communicating with each other heart by heart ,and only from that can we tear the mystery masks, release the misunderstandings and know each other clearly. Then we will and must have a warm, peaceful “home”.

  24. Passage 1 Hiccup, a young Viking befriends Toothless, a young dragon. This is the best movie I've seen since the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Virtually everything about it is wonderful. Rarely have I been so drawn in to an animated movie. The 3D aspects are thrilling and the movie has a great story, amazing animation, non stop action and a positive and constructive message.

  25. It made me want to go out and get a pet dragon. This movie is perfect for people of all ages. Now I know what a feel good movie is. This movie will make everyone feel good. Congratulations to all who contributed to this amazing film. It will make toy dragons a popular gift item.
